WaterToys2The kick start to the kids’ summer is officially here! It’s time to soak up long sunny days outside, lounging by the pool, yard or spending time at the beach. To help the kiddos in your life beat the heat this summer, snag some fun water toys to keep them cool while going nuts outside. Whether they’ll spend their days in the backyard or at the pool I have a fool proof list of toys for toddlers to Tweens and even adults can get in on the action too.

Yard Toys:

If the kids don’t have access to a pool this summer there are still plenty of toys to help keep them cool. Kids who are under the age of 3 can’t go wrong with a water table, inflatable pool or sprinkler fun. I love Little Tikes sandy lagoon waterpark and Melissa and Doug sunny patch sprinklers for girls & boys. My favorite pick is the Potterybarn kid’s sailboat pool for hours of fun in the sun.

For older kids, a classic water slide or water blaster is perfect. My favorites are the Slip N’ Slide double hydroplane & super soaker Nerf shotwave blaster.

Pool Toys:

For pool fun I love Melissa & Doug spark shark fish hunt for kids ages 4 and up, the object of the game is to swim through the pool with the included shark net to scoop up the fishy sinkers. Kids ages 6 and up who are stronger swimmers may find the undersea treasure hunt game more exciting. The object of the game is to dive for the treasure and get in it the floating treasure chest as fast as possible. For tweens, get them something super fun such as a float that doubles as a water gun. I’m a big fan of the swimline manta ray dual squirter pool toy, which comes with two floats for the ultimate pool battle.
