Sometimes gifts for the golfer can be like making a tricky putt but be assured that if you heed our gift advice and take in these sound gift ideas then you’ll be on your way to acing your gift shopping for your favorite golfer.

When it comes to golf related gifts, the age-old advice has been to avoid getting golf equipment for the golfer. Golf equipment (like all sports equipment) is really a matter of personal preference. So if there’s an extremely specific piece of equipment on his gift wish list then feel free, but if not, move on to another type of golf gift.

Think accessories and golf-related gifts instead of serious equipment. Golfers are passionate about the game and will really appreciate a gift that takes their love of the game up a notch. So, here is a list of seven of my favorite inspired gifts for the golfer.

Golfers are (in)famous for their wacky apparel. So there are two ways to go when it comes to a golf gear gift: statement or classic. I tend to love statement golf clothes and nobody says it bigger than Loudmouth Golf. Their wild and bold golf shorts, pants and tops will certainly get noticed. The Shagadelic shorts are so much fun. If he’s playing horribly, it’s hard to be too upset in these shorts.

For many others, playing it safe is probably more their speed. The “TW Ultra 2.0” Golf Poloby Nike is equal parts high performance and on-point style. With an athletic cut and DRI-FIT fabric construction, this shirt will become his go-to polo for a long time.

Regardless if his style is loud or subdued, the Nike Tech Essentials Web Golf Belt set would be a welcome addition to a golfer’s wardrobe.  The set contains webbed belts in three color options for versatility. The iconic Nike swoosh buckle screams style and confidence. He won’t mind the added touch of a bottle opener on the back of the buckle either for the “19th Hole”.

Now that he’s looking good on the course, it’s a great idea to seek gifts that make his day on the links a little more pleasurable. This Waxed Canvas Golf Cooler Bag keeps up to a dozen cans of a favorite “beverage” frosty. A smart choice is to have the bag a monogrammed to let the others in his foursome know who’s got the cold ones.

Another custom gift, that hopefully will not get a lot of use, is a personalized golf umbrella. This huge 62” umbrella will keep heads and golf bags dry. The embroidered customization is a great gifting touch. This is something that most golfers just won’t buy themselves so do them a favor!

As mentioned earlier, a golfer’s passion is not confined to the course. Their love of the game certainly extends to the home. So for the golfer who can’t get enough of the game, I love the Golfer’s Grilling Tool Set. This three piece set will feel familiar in his hands as each tool is accented with rubberized golf grips. Hopefully he’s better around the grill than he is off the tee.

Lastly, it might not get more fun than the fully customized golfer bobblehad. The gifter submits photos of the giftee and color suggestions for the clothing to have a bobblehead created with stunning life-like accuracy. This gift will look great next to his golf trophies or on his desk.

These are just a few, but if you need some more ideas, here are a bunch of hand-picked gifts for the golfer we love. Remember, think clothing and golf-related gifts versus golf equipment and finding a gift he’ll love will be easier than a tap in putt.

See what else we think is hot this summer.
