Each year the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) offers a glimpse into the future of consumer electronics and gadgets. While there are seemingly countless products spread over the show’s nearly 2 millions square feet of booth space, we wonder…what are some of the product consumer electronics product trends? And more importantly to us Gifts.com, what are some things we could be seeing under the tree in 2011?

Many will call 2011 “The Year of the Tablet”. With Apple’s wildly popular iPad, you’d figure long line of new “iPad Killers” would soon start to form. While, any category “killer” usually ends up doing far from muching killing but, there’s no denying the today’s mobile lifestyles have created a tablet niche that manufacturers are sure to try and scratch.  Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola, and Vizio, to name a few have (or soon will) enter the tablet fray. All with appealing feature sets and varying operating systems, it will be interesting to see how the fight for the second place trophy in the tablet market shakes out. In terms of gifts, if this Gift Guru had to bet, it still certainly feels like Holiday Season 2011 will yet again be dominated by Apple and their rumored to be coming soon(ish) iPad 2.
