A Practical Gift for Parents

Is March 15th circled on your calendar? Granted, it’s not a gift-able holiday, but it is a quirky day you might want to pay attention to. March 15th is the day your tax-advantaged flexible spending accounts will reset.

So, there’s a chance if you have an FSA, you may have some funds that you must use (or lose) by March 15th. So right now is an ideal time to use some of that money on qualifying health/medical equipment.

One product that’s ideal for your FSA splurge is a good thermometer like the Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer. If you have kids, there’s a real good shot that your pediatrician uses a Braun ear thermometer. My family has been using the ThermoScan for two years now and I’ll happily attest to its accuracy and it’s extreme ease of use. In fact, my kids prefer to take their own temperatures with it- which has been quite often this winter.

So just a little tip and reminder that a) self-gifting is always a good idea and b) use those FSA funds before they run out!
