For many couples, romance means a midnight walk along the beach, candle-lit meals with a glass of wine, and a surprise trip to an exotic location. But for some couples, romance is found through sharing adventure and excitement! With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, why not try something different and plan one of these alternative romantic trips?

Adrenaline Junkies
For thrill-seeking couples, experimenting with adrenaline-filled activities either as a day out or part of a holiday can really help bring you closer together. A week at one of the many ski and snowboard resorts around the world provides the perfect romantic setting in the evening combined with the high octane activity of skiing or boarding through the day. Learning a new activity together can bring you closer together and provide you with the perfect opportunity to go on a romantic holiday every winter!

A two-person bungee jump is an exciting and unforgettable experience you can do together, and the jump will bond you in a way you have never felt before! If you support a particular charity then you could both try to raise some money and do a sponsored jump, giving all the donations to your chosen charity. Not only will you have one of the most exciting dates to remember, you will have also helped a good cause. Just be sure to find a safe and reputable company. This is great for the hard core couples who like to take life by the horns!

There’s nothing more romantic than being out in the open air on the water with just the two of you together. Hiring a boat could mean an energetic canoe ride, a peaceful row down river or sailing the high-seas with the wind in your hair. You could even sign up for rafting lessons, so if you and your other half enjoy the idea of a battle with the white waters then bag yourself a day out there! A trip on a boat offers escapism and some true peace and quiet together, so if conditions are right, don’t be afraid to pack your bags and head out into the great wide open!

Getaways for Two
There are many locations around the world that cater to romantic vacations for two, but for a more adventurous romantic getaway, you may need to delve a little deeper into what a country has to offer.

Take France for example; couples commonly visit to see the sights of Paris, the most romantic city in the world, but more adventurous couples could strap on their helmets and pads and visit the French alps for some energetic hiking and white water rafting! Not to mention skiing the majestic French Alps during the winter months.

For an even more awe-inspiring journey, visit the beautiful sights of Mexico. Here you can see the astounding Aztec pyramids, view the picturesque beauty of Mexico’s vibrant jungles or whale-watching, and of course visit the country’s fantastic beaches.

Many locations and resorts offer multi-activity packages; from trekking and photography routes, wildlife and safari adventures to full-blown expeditions, anything is possible by simply exploring your adventurous side and seeking new thrills together.

Plan your trip unforgettable Valentine’s Day adventure today, the world is your playground!
