Awesome Alert : LED Sandals

I recently met up with the fun folks at Teva, and when they saw me coming they excitedly mentioned, “We have a great stocking stuffer for you!”.  Now as a Gift Guru you kinda wish you had a dollar every time you’ve heard that, but I’ve got a soft spot of stocking stuffers, so I wanted to hear the pitch.

And that’s when they hit me with the Teva Illum Sandal.  At first glance, the Illum looks like a nice, good quality flip-flop sandal.  But when you take a closer look, you noticed a small LED light on the forefoot strap on each sandal.  Sandals with lights on them- I love it!  Teva just sent me a pair for a test drive and they’re with the LEDs a blazin’ they’re total eye candy.  But I had to see if these lights would actually get me where I needed to go when it’s dark- like for a stealthy midnight snack.  And sure enough, as advertised, these certainly blaze a path in the dark.  It’s really not so surprising since the Illum was developed by surfers who were looking for a way to light their way to the waves in the pre-dawn hours.

And another cool this is the LEDs can detach so you can use them as a tiny handheld light in a pinch.  Very cool.

So what it boils down to is the Illum hits pretty much every mark to be considered a great Stocking Stuffer.  Can if fit in a stocking? Check.  Is it reasonably priced?  Check.  Will it make the recipient smile and “No Way!?! That’s Awesome!”?  ….an check.

I’m loving’ the Illum.  So will they.  A great Stocking Stuffer for him or her.
