Back to School Trends for Teens

While I can hardly believe it’s almost here, and summer draws to a close, Back to School shopping is in full swing! I remember looking cool for the first day of school was of the utmost importance throughout my education. Just as important as having the best outfit was having great accessories and supplies to start the year in style; choosing the perfect folders and pens was an annual tradition. With the average amount spent on a student this year to $688, it’s good to narrow down what’s going to be hot this season. Luckily you have me and the team at Gifts to help choose what’s new and trendy for the year to come!

This year in fashion, it’s all about denim, denim, denim! Whether a guy or a gal, jeans are the go-to fall trend. Hip styles include distressed, printed, colorful and skinny silhouettes! While refreshing your denim collections, dare to try the new trend of denim ON denim! Pair your favorite pair of jeans with a denim button down, shoes, hat or even backpack! Not ready for the “Canadian tuxedo?” Throw on a classic pair of brogues for guys or edgy booties or wedges for gals!

Always a back-to-school staple, be sureto pick up a new backpack. As backpacks have become a recent trend for non-scholars there are more styles to choose from. Try a classic shape with a pop or color or opt for an unusual shape! There are endless choices this fall.
