Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (a.k.a. “OR”), in Salt Lake City, is the world’s largest outdoor sports industry gathering! With over 25,000 exhibitors and attendees, OR is THE place to find the hot products, the browse latest trends and see great “coming soon” gear from over 1000 outdoor lifestyle brands.

With what seems like acres of cool outdoor products, the trick for a Gift Guru is to find the fun, unique, helpful and ultimately “gift-able” products from the thousands on hand.

Here’s a great one that caught my eye at this year’s show:

The Gift: The Camp Set by Victorinox Swiss Army (available now for around $40)

The Scoop: The Camp Set is yet another reason why Swiss Army is such a trusted, heritage brand.  Think of the Camp Set as “Camping Gear 101″.  The set (packaged in a sturdy nylon pouch) includes a simple yet highly useful 9-feature Swiss Army knife.  No matter what kind of pinch you’re in, this knife is certainly able to help you out.  Additionally, the set also includes utility and pairing knives as well as a very helpful spork.

So whether it’s getting the campsite ready or preparing a fire-side meal, The Camp Set provides all the tools you’ll need for basic camping.

A Great Gift For: Beginning campers and outdoors lovers and even tailgaiting weekend trail warriors.
