dr-toy-250x250When it comes to our children, nothing is ever good enough, right? This parental ideology extends to the toy box as well and as gift givers, we need to listen up. When it comes to the toys and games kids are playing with (and often times chewing on) parents are more conscious than ever of what toys are made of and of what toys they bring into their homes. A great way to ensure that play time is free of harsh chemicals and BPAs is to gift environmentally friendly toys and games.

If you’re an eco-fiend who’s on the market for some rad kid toys that are as fun as they are “good” then a great resource is Stevanne Auerbach, or as most know her, Dr. Toy, who holds a PhD in child development and evaluates the best developmentally appropriate toys and children’s products on the market. For the seventh year in a row, Dr. Toy has released her Best Green Toys to help demystify the green toy market for us gift shoppers and moms out there.

Here are some of my favorite picks from Dr. Toy’s list of this year’s top Eco-friendly toys and games and you can see the original press release here.
