Game-Day Ready: Homegating Done Right!

Sports fans live for the fall. What’s not to like? Football is underway. Baseball’s second season has begins. Basketball pre-season is tipping off.  So now is a great time to do a quick refresher for an at-home tailgating, home-gating if you will, game plan. Here are a few ideas:

One of my favorite game-day companions is the Go-Plate.   A true “why didn’t I think of that…” product, the Go-Plate is a sturdy, reusable plate that fits right over your canned or bottled drink. Great for mingling, great for not losing your bevverage, and great for home-gating! When planning a get together for the game, I’d put Go-Plates as item number one on the list.

As a game-day host , you definitely need to be your A-game. And A-game is all about paying attention to details. A nice touch is a personalized chip bowl; it’s a big hit from our tailgating gifts selection. One of my new favorites, which would be a home run at any event is the beer tote. This made in the USA gem is a stylish way for a host to make sure the guests aren’t running on empty. Even better, as a guest, bring the beer tote to the party as a nice little gift to the host…with a cold six-pack in it of course.

Two must- have tools of the game-day trade are the Pit Boss BBQ Tool Belt and a dependable blender. The Pit Boss Tool Belt is the equivalent of a carpenter’s tool belt, but for the griller! Imagine having everything you need to man the grill within arm’s reach. It’s my favorite grilling accessory of the year! A great blender, like the Farberware 10-Speed blender is ideal of homegating. The Farberware blender even has pre-set speeds that take the guess-work out of the mix. Wanna mix up some salsa? Add the ingredients and press the button that says….wait for it…”Salsa”. Its that easy. Whether is whipping up salsas, soup, or some frozen drinks, this blender is a great option for its value and easy operation.

While we’re on the game-day grub, as you head into the weekend, you’re going to want to scout out the PartyBluPrintsBlog for some homegating menu inspiration. There are tons of recipes that will get a standing “O” from your guests. The grand slam may just be the Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Lastly, you gotta wear some team colors. One of the best looks of the fall is the Nike “Knows” tee-shirts. These bold, colorful tees let everyone know where you stand.
