Divorce may be the end of a marriage, but it is the beginning of a new chapter in a woman’s life. Throwing a divorce party is a great way to move on and celebrate the new journey ahead.

When you choose a gift for your friend take her personality and character into consideration, but also make the gift fun and memorable.

Pamper Her
Divorce can take a toll on a woman’s body. By the time the divorce is final, she can be physically and emotionally drained. Gift cards or certificates are a great way to help her relax, rejuvenate, and give her a new outlook on life. Great gift ideas include:

Spa treatments
1 hour or 90 minute Massage
A trip to the salon for a new hairdo
Getting a manicure and pedicure
Gift cards to shop for a new wardrobe
Gift baskets to include her favorite wine, aromatherapy, and bath salts

Another gift idea would be to pitch in with other party guests to send her on a relaxing weekend getaway.

Humor Her
It’s probably been months since she last laughed. The Wedding Ring Coffin is a great way to put the humor back into her life. I love the “Divorced Free At Last” – Personalized Sash

Motivate Her
Moving on can be difficult. Some days are easier than the rest. Giving her gifts with words of encouragement can really make those not-so-great days less stressful. Have these words placed on a mug or plaque so she can see them every day.

Here are a few examples of inspiring words you can share:

“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”
- Alexander Graham Bell

“Never regret. If it’s good, it’s wonderful. If it’s bad, it’s experience.”
- Victoria Holt

“Pain is never permanent.”
- Teresa of Avila

Help Her
Offering to help her with the party planning is a great way to show your support. It gives everyone involved a chance to reconnect and become a bigger part of each others’ lives.

Regardless of the gift chosen your presence, not only at the party, but in her life is the most important gift you can give. Keep in mind that this is still a fragile time for her and your ongoing support can really make a difference.
