Guru Resolution: Dress Like a Lady

In previous years, I have chosen unattainable resolutions like eating healthier, losing weight, saving money, and becoming fluent in a second language. I’m not persistent in achieving these goals so they always end up falling by the wayside well before spring. This year, I want to choose a goal that I can actually accomplish because it is fun enough to keep me motivated! So, my New Year’s Resolution is to upgrade my wardrobe. Although I have always been a huge fan of following the latest fashion, the older I get, the more sophisticated I want to dress. My fashion inspirations are women that I like to call “fancy ladies,” like Alexa Chung, Emma Stone and Miranda Kerr. They keep their looks fresh and young, but still look polished. I want my new look to include sharp button downs, lots of girly dresses and skirts and cute ballet flats. The better I dress, the better I feel, so I am ready to take on 2013 one look at time.
