The Space Race is over. NASA launched the space shuttle Atlantis this morning at 11:26 am as the final space shuttle mission.  After 30 years, the space shuttle program has come to a close. In honor of this historic and record-breaking program, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite space related gifts.

From family-friendly documentaries to your very own “Moon in My Room“, each of these educational gifts will bring the magic and mystery of the solar system into your living room. Even though the last shuttle has been launched, doesn’t mean kids will ever stop wanting to be astronauts or that we’ll stop looking to the stars.

And like any major exit, it’s always good to go out with a BANG!
