In honor of the spring equinox and the welcome shift in wardrobe and lifestyle that it ushers in…we’re giving you a different trend report every day this week! From home decor to beauty and even pets, we sharing the scoop on what will be heating things up this spring.

By the time spring comes around I’m ready for the change in more ways than one! I’ve already been hitting the gym & eyeing new sunglasses, sandals and sundresses. But, nothing is more refreshing than sitting in my bright living room with the windows open on a beautiful spring day. So, if you’re like me, you’re ready to let the sunshine in by swapping out winter’s drab shades for spring’s hottest colors!

According to Pantone, the world’s most trusted color source, there are a bunch of colors to look out for in home décor this spring. Their prediction for the most popular color of 2012?

Drumroll please…. Tangerine! This spicy hue will be paired with another hot tone, dark red, and cooled down with deep, vibrant blues.

All of this will be accented with metallics (yay!) both polished and antiqued.
