The Go-To Daypack Part II

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (a.k.a. “OR”), in Salt Lake City, is the world’s largest outdoor sports industry gathering! With over 25,000 exhibitors and attendees, OR is THE place to find the hot products, the browse latest trends and see great “coming soon” gear from over 1000 outdoor lifestyle brands.
With what seems like acres of cool outdoor products, the trick for a Gift Guru is to find the fun, unique, helpful and ultimately “gift-able” products from the thousands on hand.
Here’s a great one that caught my eye at this year’s show:
The Gift: The EnRoute Daypacks from Thule (available Fall 2012 from $80-$120)
The Scoop: Last summer I fell in the with Thule’s Crossover daypack. This year, they have taken the Crossover as inspiration and introduced the new EnRoute Daypack collection. Coming in four sizes and 4 great colors, the EnRoute packs are again that perfect balance of form and function. Very light weight and in ready-to-go sizes, the EnRoute packs are a commuters dream. The standout feature for me is the patented “SafeZone” compartments. These hard-shelled, zipped, pouches protect your more fragile gear like your phone, sunglasses or even a small camera. The daypacks also include well-padded internal sleeves to protect a laptop and a tablet.
A week doesn’t go by when someone asks me about my Crossover pack. I better get prepared to keep answering the questions as the EnRoute pack will certainly become a piece of go-to gear for me later in 2012.
A Great Gift For: Gadget and gear carrying students and commuters who love points for style!
