Just watching footage from some of the recent tornadoes is terrifying enough. It’s impossible even to start to understand the fear and sadness these affected regions are now facing.

Some may ask “How can I help?” One answer is through Tide’s Loads of Hope program. Loads of Hope is a very simple idea, but the understated mission is incredibly helpful to those who are in need.

So how’s it work? From “Loads of Hope”:

In times of disaster people turn to the most basic of human needs—and one of those is clean clothes. The Tide Loads of Hope program provides relief by means of a mobile laundromat. One truck and a fleet of vans house over 32 energy-efficient washers and dryers that are capable of cleaning over 300 loads of laundry every day. We wash, dry and fold the clothes for these families for free. Because, as we’ve learned, sometimes even the littlest things can make a big, big difference.

Yes- doing laundry is for those with limited or no means to do so (for free) is an incredibly helpful service that lets people and families focus on starting the very massive and daunting task of starting to put their lives back together.

So. How can you help?

The quickest and easiest thing to do is spread the word about this terrific program:

A very helpful next step is to buy a “Loads of Hope” tee shirt. $4 from the sale of each tee goes toward helping families affected by disaster.

And lastly, another way to help is to purchase bottles of Tide with a yellow cap. When you register the code on the yellow cap HERE, $1 is donated to Loads of Hope.
