Trend Alert: Rose Gold

Rose gold or “pink gold” as it’s sometimes called,  is one of the biggest trends for spring. With its vintage look and distinct color, it stands apart from the sea of gold and silver jewelry on the market. What gives it, its pinkish hue is actually copper mixed in with the gold. Since gold is too soft a metal to stand on it’s own, it’s usually mixed with metal alloys to make it more durable. What”s great about rose gold is,  it’s flattering to most skin types, and because it’s a mixed metal, it’s actually quite affordable. Win Win.

You can wear this trend is various ways, whether it’s a dress watch, a long pendant, or dangly earrings. You can even mix it together with your other jewelry. My favorite look are these stacking rings by Gorjana that mix together gold, silver and rose gold, which was first popularized by Cartier’s Trinity Band.
