Bio: Kimberly combines three of her passions – food, city life and motherhood – on her Foodie City Mom and Mom in the City lifestyle blogs. A graduate of Columbia College and former financial researcher, she became a parenting researcher and writer after giving birth to her son. Kimberly is also the founder of Mom in the City.

The 2012 Giftees are underway and you’re probably wondering what the panel of judges is & who they are, right? It’s up to You, the public, to nominate your favorite gifts of the year and to ultimately decide on the winners. But, when nominations end, the esteemed judges help select the Top 10 gifts in each category before handing it back over to You to determine the winners. I’m going to be highlighting one judge at a time from the panel of judges who know a thing or two about what makes a great gift. I hope you like them as much as we do. Enjoy!

Q: Why are you excited to be a judge for the Giftees?

A: I love gifting family and friends with items that they love. (In fact, my husband says that “Santa Claus” would be the perfect job for me!

Q: What is the best gift that you ever gave?

A: While dating, I gave my husband a keychain from Tiffany. It was small but memorable. When he used his keys (daily), he thought of me…

Q: When you take the Gifts.com personality quiz…which personality are you?

A: I’m a Super Mom, Intellectual, Professional. (I’ll take that!)

Q: What is your favorite thing about giving gifts?

A: My favorite thing is when the recipient is grateful for the care that went into picking the perfect gift that they wanted and/or needed.

Q: What is the best gift that you ever got?

A: The Macbook Pro that my husband bought for me around Valentine’s Day (when my other laptop died) was a favorite tangible gift.

Q: What is a dream gift that you would love to get?

A: Paris has been an obsession of mine for the last couple of years. I would LOVE to get an all-expenses paid trip to eat in Paris!

Q: What do you like to do when you’re off the clock?

A: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking and eating great food, afternoon tea and getting pampered at spas.

Q: How long have you been a blogger/brand?

A: I became a blogger seven years ago. After my oldest son turned one and my maternity leave was over, I decided not to return to office work.

Q: Why do you love what you do?

A: The ability to work flexible hours as I research, experience and write about things that I love (family, food, city life, etc.) is the best!
