Scroll Pen

Seriously, unless it’s a Mont Blanc, does anyone really need another pen? Turns out the answer is “yes.” Because what good is a pen unless you have something to write on?

So simple, yet so ingenious, this pen supplies both necessities in one compact package, guaranteeing it’s always ready when you are to jot down directions, to-do lists or perhaps the phone number of that cute guy at the gym.

So, ladies, the real question is “Who doesn’t need a pen like this?”

Outdoor Adventure Gift Pass

In my carefree, wilder days, I traveled the world with a crazy group of friends. From skydiving in Africa to whitewater rafting in Costa Rica, our mantra was, “Anything for a story.”

While I’ve mellowed a bit over the years, the people at Giftybox clearly haven’t. They make it easy to gift your favorite adrenalin junkie with the adventure of a lifetime from dog sledding to hang gliding to bungee jumping. They even pair their gift pass with a fun guide of available activities.

It’s an easy way to help those you love answer the call of the wild. And what a fantastic gift for a college grad who needs to live it up before joining the real world!

Razor Pocket Mod Electric Scooter-Bella

Growing up, I spent tons and tons of time on my bike. I started out with the Spiderman Hot Wheels and eventually graduated to my yellow banana-seat bike aptly named Free Spirit. But I would have been ecstatic to get one of these scooters. In fact, who are we kidding? I’d love to have the grown-up version today. There’s nothing cooler than the wind on your face as you cruise the neighborhood riding the best of Italian styling.

This is definitely the birthday or Christmas present kids remember well into adulthood. It’s a great way to teach them hand-eye coordination, balance and safety skills as well as the much more important skill of looking fabulous as you travel through life.

2007 NFL Draft Hat

A few things have to happen for a college football stud to enter the nation’s top tax bracket.

1. Play your heart out for four years.
2. Impress enough teams to have them consider you a top prospect.
3. Get invited to the NFL Draft (this weekend).
4. Have Commissioner Roger Goodell announce your name on stage.

And voila…instant millionaire.

Seconds after having their name called, the newly-drafted ballplayers will don the 2007 NFL Draft Hat. These caps are created each year for the draft and represent highly sought-after gear, ideal for the most ardent fans.

Ladies, I know the spring and summer represents a time when you can enjoy NOT being a weekend football widow, but picking up his team’s Draft Day hat will totally impress him. Put another way, to a football fanatic, getting him this hat is the equivalent of him getting you flowers “just because.” Oh yeah, 143 days until the start of the season!

Whine No Wine Yes T-shirt

Moms—we’ve all got one, and chances are, you probably drove yours crazy more than once. My own mother will vouch for that.

That’s why I found these mom t-shirts so amusing and relatable. They sum up motherhood in a way that makes us all smile—whether we’re knee-deep in diapers ourselves or not. I gave this Whine? No. Wine? Yes. tee to my good friend after she found out she was having her third boy.

Definitely a witty Mother’s Day option for the woman who has everything, especially children who drive her crazy.

Fridge Fonts

Forget the Digital Revolution, we’re witnessing a full-on Decal Revolution. We forgot how much fun stickers can be but here are a few brilliant examples of how they have evolved:

The Fridge Font: Cover your dingy old fridge with this baby and create a doorway to paradise (and a six-pack of Corona).

Schtickers: College stacks are a sea of laptops these days. Who can tell them apart? Help your favorite kid on campus stand-out with the LapSchtick decal made just for laptops. We’re torn between the red blossom and the skull and cross bones design.

Wall Decals: Speaking of college, nothing worse than those dingy white walls in dorm rooms and rented apartments. Create insta-artwork with these cool, removable stickers.

Fatheads: So the guys may not be into bird and flower stickers, but we bet they’ll love a life-size decal of their favorite athlete. Check out Big Papi or for our Yankees fans, click here.

Most importantly, these decals are all easily removable (like Colorforms) so you’re never *stuck* with your decision.

Goodbye-a Sanjaya Tee Shirt

I totally called it. I was the only one to put points on the board of our American Idol office pool. Sanjaya is buh-bye-a.

Hope you bought your t-shirt right away after last Thursday’s post. It’s only funny if you wear it today. And then bring it out again in 10 years. Yeah, you’ll be *that* guy. Just like Sanjaya was *that* guy this season.

Reading Glasses

My mother, who usually has impeccable taste, had resorted to wearing those tacky drugstore reader glasses. It drove me crazy every time I looked at her, but she thought the only alternative was to get prescription glasses.

I knew there had to be a better way, and sure enough, Neiman Marcus (and Bloomies) agreed with me. When I saw these stylish little readers, I snapped up a pair in every color for my mom. Now she’s actually excited—rather than embarrassed—to pull them out when she needs them. And the colors and sparkles make them the perfect accent to whatever she’s wearing.

Griffin Technology iKaraoke for iPod

Let me make one thing perfectly clear—I’m not exactly a karaoke kinda guy. But I do love gadgets, so I just had to try out this latest iPod accessory.

I plugged it into my home stereo and clicked on an old Led Zep tune. Within minutes I was doing my best Robert Plant imitation playing a mean air guitar while the crowd went wild. OK, so maybe it was all in my head, but this little toy is a must-have ingredient for parties (along with an adult beverage, of course).
