Personalized Cape Cod Folding Beach Chair

Summer weekends are all about hanging out and relaxing. While it's never really hard to kick back (at least not for me…), this Personalized Cape Cod Folding Beach Chair can be a big help. Whether you're beach bound, at the pool or just in your own backyard for the Fourth, this lightweight seat will take your summer chill to new places.

It's made with heavy-duty canvas to resist fading, mildew, and rain (i.e.- you'll have it for more than one season) and weather resistant eucalyptus that's harvested from eco-friendly sources (nothing wrong with that). Best of all, the chair can be embroidered with your (or the recipient's name or initials) on it. So it will be oh-so-easy to reclaim it once you get back from taking a dip. Unquestionably ideal for the celebration of independence.

Old School Shave for Dad

June 3, 2008

John Allan's Ultimate Grooming BundleI'm about as manly as they come: I love sports, gadgets and pranks. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate good grooming, especially if someone else is doing it for me. So to continue with the Four "G's" of Father's Day gifts, I chose the Hot Lather Shave as the go-to grooming gift for Dad - whether he's a Guy's Guy or a Metro Man. The old-school treatment consists of steamed towels, a good foamy lather and a shave using a good ol' straight-blade razor.

Pair that with the all inclusive John Allan's Ultimate Grooming Bundle for Dad to take home, and you've got one bang-up gift. The kit comes with everything he needs to keep up his clean-cut look at home plus a gift certificate for their one-of-a kind spa services. Watch me get the full treatment here.

Hot Lather Shave starting at $70.00
John Allan's Ultimate Grooming Bundle starting at $98.00.

Photo Converters for Dad

June 2, 2008

35mm-to-digital Film ConverterWhen it comes to Father’s Day, we know that not all Dads are alike. So where do you start when thinking about getting him a great gift?  There are a few interests that dads seem to universally enjoy.  And conveniently they all start with the letter “G”!- Gadgets, Grilling, Golf and Grooming.  This week, I'll be taking a look at the "4Gs" of Father's Day and serving up some cool gifts for Dad, starting with Gadgets.

It's no secret that guys love their gadgets. And Father's Day is the perfect opportunity to hook dad up with a new electronic toy that will keep him busy for a while, like one of this year's hottest gadgets — the 35mm-to-digital Film Converter. It does exactly what the name suggests — it takes old 35 mm negatives (or slides) and converts them into digital images. And since many dads are the unofficial family historian, this converter will allow all those classic "pre-digital" shots to become part of the family archive.

Along these lines, the Print-to-Digital Converter does basically the same thing, but coverts old physical prints of pictures into digital images. Either way, Dad will be really excited to get one of these gadgets this Father's Day.

35mm-to-digital Film Converter starting at $95.95

King Pepper Mill Baseball BatYou gotta love when two of a guy's favorite interests come together to make one great gift idea. Like when you cross America's most popular past-time with the thrill of the grill to form this baseball bat peppermill!

This 28" long beech wood bat is not only a unique gift idea, it's practical too. No more singed knuckles from getting them too close to the grill. Also, the bat can be brandished in a menacing fashion if anyone gets too close to your steaks before they're done!

I love this one for Dad for Father's Day, but it's certainly an ideal gift for any baseball fan who plans to be chillin' and grillin' this summer.
