Dakine is dedicated to protecting beaches and oceans through project BLUE. It's not a charity, it's a plan of action. $2 of each sale will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation to fund coastline protection initiatives worldwide. Plus, these packs have all you need for Back to School: removable wetsuit bag, insulated cooler pocket, padded laptop sleeve, music cord port, and pockets for everything. This year, raise your teen’s consciousness with more than just textbooks. Or, if you don't want to take your chances with the contest, check out our fave Project Blue gifts here. |

My daughter became vegan in an effort to make a difference. That’s the biggest thing but she lives as green a lifestyle as she is able. Every label is checked to make sure it hasn’t been tested on animals and she looks for the fewest ingredients and least processed foods possible.

My daughter, Kaylee, has saved over 12,000 soda pop can tabs to use for recycled craft projects. She has all of our friends and family helping her. She and her friends use the tabs to make bracelets, belts, earrings, necklaces, and purses. She recycles the rest of the can, and saves the money to attend Girl Scout camp every summer.

She loves to distribute fliers that describe what you can and what you can’t recycle in your day to day life. Because so many people struggle with that concept.

Hello, What a wonderful backpack giveaway drawing. Both of my sons have helped the environment this summer. Although they are both drivers, they choose to ride their bikes to their jobs! They also stopped using plastic water bottles. They each own a reusable water bottle! Our whole family takes 5 minute or less showers. They didn’t complain when we turned up the thermostat during the warmer temperatures. Both boys help me recyle so much that we use two huge bins. Please enter me in your delightful drawing. Irealy appreciate it! Many thanks, Cindi

My 17 year old has doubled this households recycling. We have two recycling containers to one trash can. He has also started a garden and rides his bicycle around town eventhough he has a car.

My daughter has stopped using paper towels and tissues for the most part. She now uses handkerchiefs and olders towels (rags) instead. Oh, and she won’t drink any bottled water sold in stores, she re-fills a eco-friendly container from our tap. I’m really proud of her, she’s done all this on her own!
