My worst beauty mishap was getting a tattoo on my upper back. Biggest mistake ever. I spent over a year trying to get it removed for my wedding and now it’s just a big blurry ink blob! I would like to win the System now because I’m pregnant and my skin needs all the treatment it can get!

my worst beauty mishap? I dressed as a fairy one year for halloween with a long flowing reddish-blonde wig (as opposed to my usual dark blond hair) everyone commented on how good that color looked on me…
one day i went to the store… looked at all the colors and decided… yes… i am going to do this! I grabbed a box…ran home… before i had time to reconsider, i dumped that stuff on my hair…. yeah, would have been nice if i noticed that i didn’t buy “strawberry champagne”… I grabbed “dark copper penny”…. OMG… I looked like Ronald McDonald!!! it was terrible!!!thanks so much for opportunity! this looks like an awesome product that my face sure would like to give a try to

My worst beauty moment was also my cheapest! I paid for a $10 haircut. I didn’t even get my money’s worth@, I had to wait for 3 months for my hair to grow out! I had Darth Vader hair! I would love this because my face is like a blackhead mine field! What better way to clear it up.

I had minor problems with acne in high school, but then my skin had been clear for several years. No out breaks or blackheads and suddenly I got three pimples on one cheek. I cleaned my face every day and used acne medicine. The infection got on the cleaning pad and spread to the rest of my face. I had major problems with acne for about three years after. I’ve tried a million acne products. I finally got the to calm down after several years but still have blackheads like crazy! I would love to have this product to help maintain this issue. Thanks so much for the opportunity! Happy Holidays!

Beauty moment?? Well how about the worst beauty decade?? I was going through some rough times and really felt “unappealing”. I decided to do something about my look. I like other postings decided to take matters into my own hands because I was a poor college student and didn’t want to spend alot of money. I thought red was a good color, natural color brown. Sounds nice right? Well I didn’t realize that the blonde highlights wouldn’t take to the color the same. Needless to say, I ended up with dark red hair with PINK highlights!! Had to spend the big money to get that mess figured out!! Now you would think I would learn from that, but no. I later tried to use a “top secret” beauty treatment-toothpaste on a zit. Yeah-that didn’t work out like Oprah said it would. It irritated the pimple and it ended up becoming a sore the size of a dime on my cheek. These days I leave things to the professionals, but with 4 kids I don’t have the time to pamper myself. This facial brush would give me the pampering without the big money! Thanks!

i had gone in to get my eyebrows done. usually i go to the samelady because she is the only one i trust but that day it happend that she wasn’t there so i ended up let it be done by some other lady that was there. well, i dont know what she did and wax off my whole left eyebrow off. i was so mad. i cried for like 10 hours. then of acourse i had to go in to school and everybody called me moolisa and the nickname stayed. i cried so much, and now my left eyebrow doesnt grow the same way it used to.i would really like this set, because i do suffer from skins problems and would be so happy to win it and help me with my problem
thank you.

My worst beauty moment was when i decided I needed a tan and that I needed it fast. I bought sunless tanner that even came with a special separate formula for my face. Bad idea. I turned bright orange and had to spend hours in the shower to avoid going to my senior prom looking like traffic cone.

My whole life is one big beauty mishap, but I’ll give you one specific example. When I was a kid, I told my grandmother I wanted to go to a salon for a hair trim because I was always getting badly done trims from my mom at home. My grandmother took me to her beauty shop where the stylist wacked off all my hair, even gave me side burns! I wonder if she knew that I’m a female! It’s just been one beauty folly after another since then. Thank goodness I’m naturally stunning… lol..

My worst beauty moment was when I really wanted my little bit of chin acne to disappear before a work Christmas party. I had a summer glow still and minimal acne on my chin, that I thought was horrible! I used a cream my Mom gave me, and she said “I used to use this all the time, and it worked instantly”. I dabbed it like the directions said, and then I rubbed it in my chin and decided to put a layer on my nose since it sometimes broke out. I should’ve known that if she “used” to use it, that was a LONG time ago, the product was 7 years expired. Which makes it many more years old. It made my chin and nose break out within 4 days. My face turned red, splotchy and dry. For the Christmas party my face was horrible, and I had to wear a layer of makeup just to cover it. My “summer glow” turned to a red blotchy mess.
My face is still sensitive, 8 years later, and the Clairisonic Skincare Brush will help my face return to it’s youthfulness.Posted by damandalynn | December 12, 2008 @ 6:52 pm
In high school, I thought it would be cool to slick my hair back like Dave Vanian from the Damned. I used some cheap old man pomade from the drugstore. It smelled like cheap old man, had the consistency of Vaseline, and did not wash out no matter how many times I shampooed it. It took at least a week for my hair to get back to normal… ick.
Posted by piepie | December 12, 2008 @ 11:29 pm
My worst mishap was when I accidentally colored my hair orange. It was supposed to be blonde, but it turned orange and it didn’t wash out for weeks! (kreed511@verizon.net)

My worst beauty mistake was trying to use a hair relaxer when I was 15 without reading the instructions properly or following the directions. I’m lucky I didn’t end up bald. I didn’t distribute the product evenly so some parts of my hair got fried off, while others didn’t even get processed at all. I learned the hard way to ALWAYS FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY!!!
I would love the Clarisonic face brush, since I am 28 and have suffered from bad acne since junior high. My skin is really oily, but really flaky as well. Pretty much the recipe for acne : - / So I would love to try a product that sloughs away dead skin, since it might help me to FINALLY get the clear skin that I have wanted for so long now.

my worst beauty mishap was trying to shave between my eyebrows and shaving half of one off.
I want the Clairisonic skincare brush because I has SO many blackheadsPosted by hazel | December 13, 2008 @ 9:18 am
The one worst beauty moment I had that I will never forget is many years ago when I was into tanning. I took a trip to visit my parent’s in the Caribbean. I always wanted to get the darkest tan I could. I didn’t usually burn but this time I got really got burnt in my face. When I started to peel I actually took a face scrubber and continued to abrasively scrub the skin off my face so I could get back out in the sun to continue the tanning process. Now when I think of what I did and how I looked I am horrified. I don’t really know if my skin has ever really recovered from that beauty mishap. I have very large pores and don’t know if my face gets as clean as it should be. I know this product would really help me.

Tip: yellow eyeshadow looks like jaundice on your eyes. Oh how I wish I’d realized that very fact before “experimenting” with theseason’s “hottest colors” a few years ago in college. Yes, I feel victim to the yellow eyeshadow trend that was supposed to give you a “summer glow.” Instead, I looked ill at one of the biggest events we had on campus!

Well, I would have to say my worst beauty moment, happens alot. I dress in the dark so I don’t wake up my husband and in the mist of the darken room I choose one blue shoe and one black or one brown and one black…you get the idea. Funny thing is I don’t notice it until I get to work. I am a school teacher and the kids giggle and ask me if it is mix match day.

I think my worst beauty mishap was the first time I every tried to have my hair dyed blonde (by a professional mind you). Where my hair is extremely thick, extremely curly, and in addition to that, virtually jet black, I wasn’t really aware of how difficult it was to go from black to blonde (I was only about 16 or so). Anyway, the girl proceeded to first dye my hair, then highlight it, and when I finally looked in the mirror I swore I thought there was a pumpkin in the mirror. My hair was ORANGE!!! Unfortunately, it was neither blonde, nor red, but some ghastly inhuman color you only find in hair coloring sold at hot topic. It was a disaster. OH and, just to add insult to injury, she then charged me for a dye AND a highlight (I wasn’t aware at the time that she was doing both or that it would cost as much as it did) which I belive came out to just under $150. Now THAT is a disaster…
As for the Clarisonic I have always had a problem with blackheads so I would love to win this an save on getting regular facials.
Please pick me!!

My Beauty Mishap taught me more than a beauty lesson:
I was preparing for 20 friends to come into town for my 34th birthday - some I had not seen in years. I was disappointed that I had gained some weight, so I wanted to look my best when I saw them. I went to the nail salon for a pedicure, where they had waxed my eyebrows in the past. It was a friendly family run shop and the man who owned it was energetic and fun. After exchanging some jokes with the owner and his wife, my feet were soaking in the water, and the owner’s wife told me she would do the waxing while I sat in the chair. She heated up some wax to groom my eyebrows. I asked her to wax my chin, too. She told me she thought I should have my lip waxed as well. After I explained that I had sensitive skin with acne as a kid, and that I had a party in 4 days, she reassured me and I consented. She then told me she thought I should have my whole face waxed -Hahaha!! “Just wax my head, too!” I joked.
She waxed my brows, chin and lip (ouch!) right there in the pedicure chair. I was too shy to protest when she smeared the hot wax across my cheek; apparently she was serious about waxing my whole face! I thought, “Wow - this is weird! Maybe people around me are wondering if I am a blond werewolf!”
I regretted my silence when she ripped off the strips, it was torture - but I thought I would look foolish if I did not complete the treatment, and I wanted to be beautiful for my birthday get together! I left the salon feeling humiliated with my swollen red face, wondering why no one had ever told me I should wax my face in the past. I had gotten jokes for my blonde mustache, so maybe I should have done this long ago?
The next day, I woke up with painful, cystic red pimples on my forehead, cheeks and chin. Panic sunk in as I thought of the photos I would be taking with my friends - only three days away! I was so disappointed because now it was hard to be excited about seeing everyone. Instead I imagined the photos would look just like my high school pics 20 years prior, with teenage acne!
I went to the beauty college where they gave me a calming treatment for free because they felt so bad for me. They explained that skin treatments like that needed to be followed up with toner and skin care that the nail salon did not have. I won’t let anyone who isn’t trained in skin care do something like that again. They also told me that I should not feel like the blond peach fuzz on my face needed to be removed, that is was so light, and was natural.
At my party, I greeted my friends with warm hugs and big smiles. Some drove three hours to join us that day, and I was honored. Besides, they looked at me with love and friendship; my weight and pimples didn’t steal the show. It was a beautiful day because I have beautiful friends with beautiful hearts.
When I look at the photos, I am reminded that I’m still learning in life. Two years later, I’m more assertive about taking care of myself. I won’t believe some nail technician who thinks I need to do drastic things to be beautiful. I have lost 30 pounds, and am taking good care of my skin. I’d love to enhance my skin care routine with the Clarisonic Skincare Brush!

I’m really looking for something like this for my daughter who really really needs this !!!!

Worst beauty mishap - I tried to color my hair myself - it is naturally a very dark brown, and the hair color turned it orange! I went back to the store the next day and called the 800 number on the box for help. Ugh - I’m afraid to color on my own ever since!
I would like this because as a 42 yr old I still have very oily skin and breakouts! This would be fantastic!
Posted by latrischler | December 14, 2008 @ 12:51 pm
My worst beauty moment was when I went to a nail salon to get a mani and pedicure. The salon was pretty much deserted, so when the lady asked if I wanted an eyebrow wax also, I said sure. The wax was sooo hot! I left with
red, puffy and tender eyes. The next day I had huge blisters all under my brows
that eventually started peeling. It took about three weeks to heal.
I would love to use the Clarisonic Skincare Brush System to improve my skin.
I have large pores and I think the system would would be a great way to clean and enhance my skin. It would give me incentive to pay more attention to my face! New cleaner and clearer skin for a new year!
Thanks!Posted by paula2009 | December 14, 2008 @ 2:11 pm
My worst mishap happens all the time. I clean my face and put moisturizer on. Then I put my make-up on. About 15 minutes my skin starts flaking because it is so dry. This would be perfect for me to clean my pores and help my skin look better.

Worst beauty mishap is when I had my makeup”professionally done” at the Macy’s counter, and I left looking like a circus clown. I’d like to win because it would be a nice thing to have, I doubt I would ever splurge on myself on a nice prize like that.
Posted by cdziuba | December 14, 2008 @ 10:10 pm
Like many mothers I stopped taking care of myself when my children were small. Now they are approaching the teen years and I have had some time to myself, I have taken a good look in the mirror only to discover lines, age spots and chin hair! UGH! 2009 is going to be a new year for me! Go Mom!
Posted by mommydearest | December 14, 2008 @ 11:20 pm
My worst beauty mishap was not following the directions on the package of biore strips. I not only removed the blackheads on my face but the skin as well. Ouch! It took weeks for my skin to heal. Needless to say I’m a little hesitant to try new products.

Oops! I forgot my worst beauty mishap.
Picture it: School Picture day 1988. I was in 6th grade. My hair was not doing what I wanted it to do. It looked awful. I sneaked my mother’s scissors and decided to cut my bangs. Basically I hacked them off at a horrible angle and looked like an idiot. My brother still makes fun of that picture.
Posted by jesslag | December 15, 2008 @ 10:47 am
My worst beauty mishap was a haircut I got after by daughter was born. I needed a little pick me up, instead I got the worst haircut ever. It ended up looking like a mullet! Worse was the fact I had a wedding to go to a week later….I would love the Clairisonic Skincare Brish so that I can pamper myself and feel a little more youthful since I am turning 30 next year! Thanks
Posted by katebeth45 | December 15, 2008 @ 12:27 pm
My mishap was also hair related. I went in to a local haircut chain and told the stylist, and I use that term loosely that I wanted my then mid-back hair, cut up to my shoulders. Well she cut it up to my chin.
I looked ridiculous, and even my normally kind and empathetic son couldn’t help but laugh. Not only was it too short, but by taking off the weight of the length, my wavy hair, actually became curly and I looked like a poodle.
Posted by ewalsh | December 15, 2008 @ 5:01 pm
I tried to Nair my upper lip once, I instead got a HUGE rash on it and had a pink moustache. I was in the 7th grade it was horrible!

I decided to let the hair stylist decide what was best for me - I had read that giving a stylist free rein was a great idea.
Wrong. Bad idea.
Worst. Haircut. Ever.
I have wanted this Clarisonic Skincare Brush since I first heard of them. Unfortunately, despite all the great reviews, I’ve never been able to afford it. Thanks for this opportunity!

My worst beauty mishap is when I was a teen and I let my friend give me a sprial perm and my hair broke off.
I would love a skincare brush to give myself an at home spa treatment.Posted by dlodge | December 16, 2008 @ 1:42 pm
I think that my worst beauty mishap was when I started wearing makeup at age 19 (I wasnt allowed before then!!). I put on powder and just caked (and then smeared) it all over my face. On top of that, it was the wrong shade! I looked like a brown ghost!!! It was awful:(
I would like the system because my skin is VERY sensitive And it gets very dry in the winter especially. I just need it to keep my skin looking summer fresh:)

I would like to win this system for my daughter.Posted by samf36 | December 16, 2008 @ 4:15 pm
Growing up in Southen California, it was important to have the perfect tan. Of course we didn’t think about such things as skin cancer, just beauty. Well, one day I went to the beach to lay out and brought a great book. I got so engrossed in the book that I lost track of time. I completely fried my body. I was soooo red and covered with blisters. It was horrible.
Posted by fangirl | December 16, 2008 @ 4:42 pm
Well… I was 14 and I just got into all the beauty and make-up stage. I had seen my mom with an eyebrow razor and it looked at lot less painful and whole lot easier to use than tweezers. So one day I snuck into her bathroom grabbed them then ran to my bathroom. I then attempted to use them….but oh my gosh!!!! I looked up and half my eyebrow was gone!!!! I cried the whole day until my mom came home. She had to help me use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the rest of my eyebrow. Horrible!!!!
Posted by skymoreno24 | December 16, 2008 @ 4:59 pm
My mother thought she would save a few dollars by cutting my hair. Needless to say I wished we would have sprung for the dough because as she was trimming my bangs, she was also cutting my eyebrows! OUCH! It was terribly ugly.
Posted by debracook | December 16, 2008 @ 5:08 pm
I think the worst mishap was grabbing a can of hairspray from under the vanity as I was rushing to leave for work………what a shock to see that I had sprayed my hair with Scrubbing Bubbles instead of hairspray………..
Posted by starsmom | December 16, 2008 @ 5:15 pm
My worst beauty mistake was using a ‘medium’ self tanner. I am way too fair…it looked totally fake on me. I took days for the fake looking tan to wear off and even longer for my palms, elbows, and knees to lose their orangish tinge.
I’d love to try the Clarosonic brush. My skin is worse now then when I was a teen. I need some help!

My worst beauty mishap happened right before a date! It was a blind date, and I was bleaching my “upper lip” - ahem, just trying to get rid of any peachfuzz! So I had the bleaching cream clothered on my upper lip, and the doorbell rang, It was early so I figured it was my friend coming over to bring me her earrings to borrow - wrong! It was my date! He saw he slathered with girl-stach bleach on my upperlip! i nearly fainted. I was so embarassed, excused myself to wash it off, and it left a few little red rashy-looking bumps! I had to try and cover it with concealer. I felt so silly, luckily he was a good sport, and we still had a fun date!
I’d love to win this, thanks!

I had two memorable “beauty” mishaps! The first was when I accidentally used a cleaning product on my face - I’ve since learned to NOT leave cleaning products on my beauty counter! The second was when I accidentally wore a sweater backwards.
The “V” was supposed to be in the back, not the front. Worse was I discovered my mistake when I wore my “V” neck sweater to a party and someone else had the same sweater on right! I just used the “I meant to do it this way” excuse, had another drink and partied away!

My worst beauty mishap was bleaching my hair after a summer in a chlorine pool had already bleached it. I went three years in high school trying to get the color to look natural and not green, and finally my senior year I cut it all off pixie length and dyed it dark auburn-brown. Since then, it has grown out and I’ve never dyed it again (or been to a pool without heavy conditioner first). I love my natural color!
I could really use the Clarisonic Skincare Brush because I have dark circles and acne prone skin that I really think this would help. I’d love to buy one but there is no way I can spend that kind of money on myself right now.

Well, this isn’t really horrible, just embarrassing. About ten years back, when long last lipstick first came out, I let my one-year-old put lipstick on me. Being a baby, she outlined my lips like a clown, but I thought, “Oh, she’s having fun.”
Well, it was time to go so I went and got some soap and tried to wash off the lipstick. Well, soap and warm water didn’t work, so I tried makeup remover and vaseline. No go!!! I had to leave my home with dark red around my mouth. And yes, I did look like a clown. Embarrassing!!

My worst beauty mishap is getting old. How do you fight that?
Posted by trishden | December 17, 2008 @ 12:09 pm
Many years back I went to the dermatologist for treatment of moderate acne. He prescribed Retin A which I stopped and got at the drugstore on my way home. I was heading out for a night of clubbing and didn’t realize that I had applied way too much of the product. Once at the club, I was shocked at the odd stares and general revulsion from other patrons. I went into the ladies room and saw that my face was literally peeling off! I was so mortified that I ran out of the club and headed home. I couldn’t believe how bad my face looked. I was like a decomposing zombie in a horror movie. I tried using the product more sparingly after that but it never really worked for me. Thank God my acne days are over.

My worst beauty mishap was attempting to remove black hair dye. I’m naturally blonde, but have dyed my hair black several times. I’d had no problems bleaching my hair out in the past, but in my foolishness I went over-zealous with the bleach in order to remove the dark dye. My hair was fried, and I had to run to a hair salon for an emergency haircut - I went from long hair to a very short chin-length bob!
I’d love to win this because I have a blast trying out new beauty items, and I’d love to see what it could do for me!

My worst beauty mishap was when I first plucked by eyebrows. I could not get them even and kept plucking and plucking and ended up with teeny tiny eyebrows!
I would love to win this for my teenage daughter - she is at the bad acne stage.Posted by crochetbymommaj | December 17, 2008 @ 2:41 pm
I put some “lotion” on my face and rubbed it in and found out too late it was body wash. It took about a week for my skin to get back to normal.

I always have a problem with blackheads…this seems like this could really open things up for me!

My worst beauty mishap was trying a new at home hair color product. My hair turned a lovely shade of brilliant orange, just in time for Halloween. You can imagine the pumpkin jokes I got! I would love to win the Clarisonic for my daughter, she is entering the age of acne and blackheads, and I want her to learn at young age how to take care of her skin.
Posted by Valeen | December 17, 2008 @ 4:15 pm
I tried straightening my hair one time and ended up frying it. It had to be all cut off up to my ears.
Posted by LIDARKSIDE | December 17, 2008 @ 5:14 pm
This is hard because i have had so many. I guess it would be the time i waxed off my entire eyebrow, this actually happened twice.
I think the Clarisonic is a beauty essential for any age. My friend owns one and swears by it. I am broke at the moment so winning one would be awesome.
Posted by missy | December 17, 2008 @ 5:33 pm
Hm, worst beauty mishap. I tried a “translucent” face powder the day of my best friend’s wedding (wanted to get rid of ’shiny face’ in the pictures). It was not translucent, it looked blue! And it did NOT come off easily.
I’d love to win this because I am 26 and have just started to think about taking better care of my skin (oops).

My worst beauty moment happened when I lived on the beach. I had long hair and decided to color it at home for a change. I have dark brown hair and decided if I went to medium blonde then my hair would just turn light brown. I also went out on the beach to let my hair dry faster. Boy, was I wrong all the way. My hair turned to a bleached blonde look and I had to go to the salon to get it fixed. Never again.

I guess I’m lucky. My worse beauty mishap is burning my forehead while trying to style my hair using a curling iron. I then have to try and cover the mark with concealer!

My worst beauty mishap happened about 20 years ago. A co-worker of mine who was African-American talked me into going to her hair salon for a perm. I had had perms before and wanted another one. I noticed that all of the stylist and customers were African-American but didn’t think twice about it. Needless to say, my “perm” turned out to be an Afro! It took months for my hair to relax and there was nothing I could do about it without breaking off my hair. It was horrible.

My worst beauty mishap was probably when I bought a face mask on clearance at a drug store, and when I went to peel it off it took several layers of my skin with it! It was horrible… Anyways, I’d love to win this Clarisonic brush bc my skin is absolutely awful this winter, super dry with tons of blackheads, and when I put lotion on it turns super oily - I need help, the kind of help only Clarisonic can offer! Thanks so much for the contest!

My worst beauty mishap was a big one! I was curling my lashes, which had some mascara on them. Well, my dog came in the room and jumped on my side. I was startled and pulled EVERY eyelash out in one quick jolt!!! It looked like a set of fake lashes on the eyelash curler! It took well over a month, but they all grew back just fine. (I never thought they would.) I wore one false eyelash for weeks! I need a Clarisonic because I have oily and congested skin. I really can’t afford one…..but I’d really LOVE to win one! Thanks :o)

During the “big hair” era, I got a body perm to try to “bulk” up my hair. Mistake. I ended up with something resembling a straw broom on my head.

I’ve been lucky and have never had a horrible beauty mishap except cutting myself shaving or being dissatisfied with a hair cut.

My worst makeup mishap was a few New Year’s ago, in all our pictures my eyeshadow looked like racoon eyes. SIGH!
I could use this to combat my adult onset acne
Posted by happishopr | December 17, 2008 @ 9:46 pm
Luckily I have not had a worst beauty mishap other than cutting myself shaving or getting a minor zit or 2. I have been looking at the clairisonic for several years, just couldn’t justify the cost. It would be great to have to keep my skin fresh and clean looking. Thank you so much!

One day in highschool I really wanted to wear a pair of new shorts I had just bought. They were really funky looking and cool. Unfortunately I had broken out in some weird rash/pimples in some places on my thighs and legs. I came up with the bright idea of putting cover-up on them. I thought I had done a really great job. Alas, the second I got to school, everyone could tell and made fun of me for ages for it. It was horrible. I also used to think wearing sparkly green lipstick to school was really cool. I was made fun of for a whole year for that one. I still wore it though.

My worst beauty mishap was when I fell asleep in the Caribbean sun on my cruise after graduating high school. I have very pale/fair skin, so I woke up to a beautiful shade of lobster red. That night, I had to wear a spaghetti strap black dress to the captain’s dinner. I had my pale foundation on, so in all the pictures, you see a pale white face, red neck, chest and arms, the white skin strap line and my black spaghetti straps breaking it all up. I now put on tons of suntan lotion after learning this valuable and painful lesson.
I would love this skin care tool to help take off my makeup and cleanse my skin after long hours at the office and stress that builds on my face.

While in high school I decided to try some do it yourself haircolor — I was a natural dark ash blond, and thought I could make the color a bit warmer — not so ‘ash’ — I followed the instructions and applied it right after school on a Friday before going out on a first date on St Patrick’s Day. My date picked up a brunette (no amount of shampooing would lighten the dark color) and I was grateful to be going to sit in a dark movie theater to see Endless Summer — I did not have to worry about anyone looking at my dark hair all evening. It turned out I did not like the guy anyway… but I was grateful several weeks later when my normal haircolor began to reappear.
I have been using Buff Puff’s to clean my face for years — I always worry that they are too abrasive, and now that I am over 50, I really need to cleanse well but carefully. The Clarisoni looks like a wonderful tool to help me preserve the best skin possible with age!

My worst beauty mishap was a couple of days before my wedding I went under the sunlamp a couple of minutes too long. My face was peeling on my wedding day, could have used the clarisonic skin care brush then.

My worst beauty mistake was when I tried to dye my naturally dark brown hair, light blond! I looked like a giraffe! The worst part was having to go out in public in order to have it fixed!
I would love to win this, because I have had bad skin for the past 15 years, and would love to try something new to help it!
Thanks for the chance to win!Posted by Teresa690 | December 17, 2008 @ 11:29 pm
I was starting a new job and decided that I needed to punch up my look a bit. My friend referred me to his pal that worked in an upscale salon and I decided that I would indulge and allow myself to be pampered. The stylist encouraged me to go with some “chunky” highlights in my blond hair and pulled out the bleach.
Once the foils were in my hair, my stylist disappeared. I sat in the chair reading a magazine for quite a while. He suddenly came running around the corner, and pulled a piece of foil from my head and a section of hair fell down in front of my face. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. It was white…
My chunky highlights were replaced with white stripes. I cried. I pleaded with the salon manager to do something to fix it, but the bleach had so over-processed my hair, there was nothing that they could do. I started my new job looking like a cross between a skunk and one of the X-Men. At least they didn’t charge me…
I would love to try the Clarisonic Skincare brush. I struggle daily to find a balance with my combination skin and I have yet to find a product that works for me. I hope this is it!

My worst mishap was thinking I would look good with dreads. After my parents saw it I had to cut all my hair off. It was my worst mistake ever. I also have terrible skin and would to try something new to clear it up!

I have naturally blonde air and decided it would be a simple matter to become a platinum siren. i did it at home with the help of a girlfriend and had the ugliest shade of green you ever did see. Took about 6 months for my hair to look normal again.

I have my share of cutting my own bangs mishaps and overplucking, etc. But my worst was the time I had a bottle of perfume in one hand (Charlie cologne, to date myself) and a bottle of spray binaca in the other hand. Guess which one I sprayed in my mouth.
My pores and adult acne need this prize!Posted by kathemc | December 18, 2008 @ 12:51 am
I wanted to straighten my hair for my high school senior photos with a chemical straightener. I did something wrong. My hair shriveled and turned gummy. As I sat crying at the kitchen table, my mom said she’d take me to the beauty parlor the next day. I was devastated after my cut. My once near waist length hair now only 3 inches long. The pictures didn’t turn out too bad at least.
I’d like to win this skin care kit because I have been suffering from blackheads my entire life. I’ve tried everything, but they keep coming back. I blame genetics. Large pores run in the family.

My worst beauty mishap involved hot waxing unwanted hair. Lets just say there was screaming and removal of skin as well has hair. I wouldn’t recommending trying it at home… I would love to try the Clarisonic Skincare brush. If it is anything like the sonicare toothbrush, It would be part of my daily routine forever. Thanks!!!

My worst beauty mishap lasted about a year when I was really into a light blue frosted eyeliner pencil that I thought was so great. Looking back though, it wasn’t so great. I would like to win because my skin has some problem areas and I think this little baby would really help.

I have had many mishaps. The most recent would be at my brother n laws wedding over the summer. I decided I wanted to go blonde and get a tan by using sunless tanner. You allready now where this is going don’t you? Well anyway I thought I looked good until they got there pictures back. I looked like pumpkin. The worst part is that their picture are posted on a friends myspace for the world to see.

My worse mishap was getting a perm on naturally wavy hair. I looked like a cross between a lion and a french poodle.
And the only way to make my hair look decent was to sleep in hard curlers every night. OUCH!!! And you know what? Linen curlers made my hair super curly for 3 days with no frizziness. So why did I bother with the perm?Posted by candes | December 18, 2008 @ 6:30 am
Worst beauty mishap was the first time I tried to color my hair myself. It looked fine at first then each month I touched it up by applying color to all my hair. I didn’t realize I was only supposed to color the new growth. Each time I touched it up my hair got darker and darker until it was almost black. I ended up going to a salon for “color correction” where it took almost 6 hours for them to remove all the color, deep condition a few times, then add my brunette color back. A very costly mistake but now I know. Still very scary each time I try to color my hair.

My worst beauty mishap would be the haircut I got a couple months ago. I went to a “generic” haircut place and came out looking like a boy. A week later I was in the airport boarding a plane to Hawaii when a steward said “Sir, is this your water bottle?” I was a little embarrased!

My absolute worst beauty mishap was about five years ago. I was waxing my upper lip and somehow some plastic got into the wax and i burned myself so badly i had to go to make an emergency visit to a dermotolgist office and get cream. Then i had to walk around with this sore on my face for awhile. The cream prevented scarring so I was very lucky.

I waxed my lip for the first time and totally burned my skin.

I would love to win one to take better care of my skin. My worst beauty mishap has got to be when I was playing around with a small round brush pretending to be Wilma Flinstone or something and I got it completely stuck in my hair. We tried for hours to gently get it out and the pulling gave me a big knot on my head. Finally I just cut the thing out. Not my proudest moment.
Thanks for the chance, justicecw@hotmail.comPosted by justicecw | December 18, 2008 @ 11:23 am
I would love a clarisonic! My worst beauty mishap was when I was in college and was putting in my contacts for a girls night out and my roommate had mistakenly left a solution of bleach (in a similar contact solution bottle) on my desk. Being the blind person that I am, I sprayed bleach in my eye and it got soooo red that I had to go to the emergency room to get my contact removed and my eye flushed out…super super painful and not pretty!

Using Sun-In to lighten my brown hair. It turned into a Bozo the Clown orange nightmare!

I went to a salon to have my eyebrows threaded. The woman talked me into threading my peachfuzz, too, since my cheeks were full of it. Okay, I said. Big mistake. Two days later, my whole face was bumpy and red!
I want this because I think it would do wonders on my sensitive skin. I would also try it on my daughter, who seems to get small blackheads here and there (at eight!). I don’t want to try anything too harsh on her.Posted by choochoo | December 18, 2008 @ 2:26 pm
My worst memory was using sunless tanner, orange is NOT tan.
Posted by judycc | December 18, 2008 @ 2:29 pm
I hate to recall this, but a few years ago I tried a facial dipilatory cream to get a really smooth feel to my face and my skin reacted horribly. I looked like I’d had a very severe sunburn with blisters and swelling and redness. Makeup wouldn’t cover it and then the peeling was nasty, too. Such a disaster! Since then, my skin seems even more sensitive to products. Now I use Cetaphil to wash my skin, but I don’t feel like I get a deep enough clean. I would love to use the Clarisonic to cleanse my face thoroughly and I hear it will give me that soft feel I was trying to achieve when I “burned” myself. Thank you!

My worst beauty mishap was actually a medical problem. I had a small pimple on my chin that got infected. It swelled to the size of an orange (at least it seemed that way to me) before the antibiotics kicked in.

I’m pretty sure it was when I tried self-tanner and I didn’t know it went on poorly. I went to a parade wearing shorts and walked all over town. When I got home, I saw that on both of my legs in the back I had multiple long drip marks. Humiliating.

When I was in college I thought I’d lighten my hair so I sprayed SunIn in my hair. It turned orange. Worst thing is that I was supposed to get my picture taken the next day, I called in sick.

My worst istrying to put on mascara too fast and sticking the wand in my eye. As a result I scratched my cornea and couldn’t see out of it. A week of eye drops fixed it.

I had a bout of adult acne, something I’d never had to deal with as a teen. I went out and purchased a highly publicized acne system. It started to get worse, so I was more diligent in using the system. Ultimately, I figured out that the product was aggravating the problem. It took almost a year of non-use to stop it.

The dryer I was using burned my hair real bad. My hair was burned so bad I had to have most of it cut off. To keep from looking like Popeye I adto wear a wig. I would love to win the Skincare Brush because getting out in winter weather batters my skin.

My worst beauty mishap was a BAD eyebrow plucking. This CLARISONIC system looks great and I would love to try it out!

My worse beauty mishap was when all my hair fell out!
I dyed my hair as I usually did but I used a different dye than I normally used and I think I kept it in too long. As I was rinsing it out in the shower I saw my full head of hair clogging the drain. The worse part was having to go to work the next morning with hair no longer than 4 inches, two different colors and severally damaged. At the time I was an international flight attendant for a charter airline so covering my mishap was impossible as I couldn’t wear a hat. My beauty mishap made for a very long flight that day!

My worst beauty mishap happened about a week after I had surgery. I had taken a percocet but still couldn’t sleep so had the bright idea to puck my eyebrows. Before I realized it one was half gone! Fortunately I was out of work for a few weeks so it grew back enough that people didn’t point and laugh.
I would love this skincare brush. I’ve never had good skin and have spent a lot of money on creams and moisturizers. As I’ve gotten older the battle has gotten more intense. Winning this would allow me to bring some heavy artillery.
