  • Well, green is my favorite color. But seriously, all the little things we can do to help the environment do add up, and I like knowing that I’m doing my part to help out. I enjoy both giving and receiving eco-friendly products.

    Posted by cmaxwell | April 18, 2008 @ 12:39 pm

  • I like green gifts because every small effort in saving the environment is worth it ~ plus most of the organic fabrics are so soft.

  • Green gifts are great because they feel indulgent but also oddly practical…

  • When you give a green gift you are not only giving a great gift, but your giving a gift to yourself too in the fact that your not doing more damage to the enviorment… (or the world our kids will live in!)

For the most part, I also think “green” gifts are made better and I love the feel of cotton and bamboo. Please enter me in your eco-friendly contest drawing. Thanks,Cindi

  • Well, I agree, all the small things we do to help the environment will ultimately help us. It’s not extra work to be more green and to look after the environment a bit more. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I love green gifts because we are really making a conscious effort in our household to become more “green” through recycling, CFL bulbs, etc and adding “green” gift giving would be a great way to introduce our not so green friends to living in a more environmentally friendly way!

  • There have been so many changes to the environment since I was a child. I like green gifts because in choosing them over something else, we are helping the environment so that children in generations to come will have something to enjoy.

  • I love green gifts because they show the giftee and earth that you care

    Posted by nor_lou | April 19, 2008 @ 5:30 pm

  • I try to give “green” gifts whenever possible and for many reasons:

    1) It is a way I can lead by example without preaching
    2) Many green gifts I purchase are produced locally in my town and I like to support local artists and our local economy
    3) It’s the best way to place my “vote” for more green products from manufacturers
    4) It makes me feel good
    5) I like that the products are all natural, sustainable, and won’t do further harm to the earth

  • I’d love to win this for my 75-year-old Mom — as a way to introduce her to how wonderful green products can be. I know she already cares about helping to create a greener world because she recyles, but the idea of “buying green” has probably not even occurred to her. It would be really cool if I as her daughter could be the one leading by example, by sharing this gift with her. And at 75, she surely would find a comfy new robe to be a blessing.

  • Ok, get this… you can buy this beautiful environmentally friendly robe AND have a percent of your purchase go to a nonprofit group you support, sound unbelievable? It’s not! Go to www.nonprofitshoppingmall.com, choose a nonprofit group like Sierra Club to give to and pick Viva Terra as your store to shop at and vwalla… you have hit 3 birds with one stone. You shopped, you supported GREEN products/companies and you gave money to that group you always want to give to, but never have enough to spend on a donation. That is smart shopping! Enjoy…
