Debba Haupert is founder of Girlfriendology.com, the online community for women based on female friendship. And, although she is a little ‘addicted’ to social media, she loves her friends way more than the world wide web!

That’s why we asked her to share her favorite gifts to give your gal pals this Valentine’s Day, and be an honorary “Guru”.

Who says Valentine’s Day is just about ‘romantic love’?! When we were kids we gave EVERYONE a Valentine’s Day card. Why not take Valentine’s Day to show and tell your girlfriends how much their friendship means to you? Surprise her with a thoughtful, fun gift or a card expressing your ‘girlfriend gratitude, or, if neither of you have plans for Valentine’s Day night – why not get together and watch a movie or make dinner together?

Don’t forget to show your friends what real ‘love’ is – a friend who is there for you every day of the year!

To inspire you, here’s some great girlfriend gifts for your fabulous female friends!

I love creative girlfriends – they always inspire me! My girlfriend Liv is an artist and ‘inspirer’ who can make you smile with her art and her sunny personality. Her handmade gifts include jewelry, note cards, and art featuring uplifting messages. I especially love her eco-friendly necklaces made from reused bottle caps.

And, speaking of necklaces, I love wearing something a friend has given me.

It feels like she close by all day. This Starry Friends Necklace could be a gift for so many of my forever friends … Barb, Deana, Rhonda … too many to list. I like the simplicity of the sterling silver style, it will go with everything. It reads, “Good friends are like stars-you don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.”

But I have to say, the best girlfriend gifts are those we can experience together. So don’t forget to spend time with your friends this Valentine’s Day and throughout the year.
