Melissa Chapman is one busy lady! She regularly blogs about her marriage, family life, and everything in between at Married My Sugar Daddy and you can find her work in ABC News, Momtourage, Lifetime Moms, Babble, The Washington Post, Time Out NY Kids and iVillage.

It’s the day that strikes fear in the heart of most men who are in a relationship with a woman, No I’m not talking about the day they meet the parents, get married, or even have a baby. No, this day is far more stressful for most men and it’s Valentine’s Day.

My husband, usually breaks into a cold sweat several weeks before the big reveal of his gift, subtly dropping hints about the gift he’s chosen for me, to gauge whether or not he made the right choice. Of course, after 13 years of marriage, all I really want is a handwritten card – as opposed to one filled with prose written by someone else and my husband’s name signed at the bottom.

In fact if you’re a husband looking to nab that gift that will, upon your wife’s unwrapping of it, part the heavens and tug at her heart strings– my advice- get a gift ( or give your wife an experience) that taps into the emotional connection you share–an expression of your love.

Here Are My Top 4 Valentine’s Day Gifts for the Wife – Remember Happy Wife Happy Life!

Count-down to Valentine’s Day with little gifts each day.

Here are just a few to get you started: Leave love notes on her pillow, a cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate at her bedside table, a booklet of coupons to be redeemed for kisses, massages, a load of laundry, a chick flick movie rental of her choice- to be redeemed by you!

Whip her up a love potion: No woman can resist the powerful charms of man who will go to great lengths to make her the perfect cocktail.

And this delicious Valentine’s Day cocktail from Sauza Tequila; Love Potion No. 9 is a more unique and unexpected twist on the traditional February 14th concoction.

Ingredients:

3 parts Sauza® Silver Tequila

1 part DeKuyper® Razzmatazz® Schnapps Liqueur

4 parts chocolate ice cream (per cup, about ½ cup each)

Raspberries for garnish

Directions: In a blender, combine tequila, raspberry liqueur and chocolate ice cream. Pour into glasses and garnish with raspberries. After you get your wife all liquored up on love rub her feet, her back and well let the rest of the evening unfold!

Set the mood with a sensual massage using Jiva Apoha’s love blend.

Really indulge and pamper your wife with a massage she won’t soon forget this Valentine’s Day using Jiva Apoha’s specially created Kama (Love) Body Oil. They’re natural, balancing, loaded with nourishing anti-oxidants and each blended to create different therapeutic benefits for the mind and body.

Customize a Zazzle gift for her! Like this ADORABLE macaroni and cheese love stamp or create your custom love necklace or a special Valentine’s Day mug.

Personalization is always the way to go.
