The 2012 Giftees are underway and you’re probably wondering what the panel of judges is & who they are, right? It’s up to You, the public, to nominate your favorite gifts of the year and to ultimately decide on the winners. But, when nominations end, the esteemed judges help select the Top 10 gifts in each category before handing it back over to You to determine the winners. I’m going to be highlighting one judge at a time from the panel of judges who know a thing or two about what makes a great gift. I hope you like them as much as we do. Enjoy!

Q: Why are you excited to be a judge for the Giftees?

A: I’m thrilled to join this remarkable group of gift giving experts, and also to lend an eco-friendly perspective to the awards this year.

Q: What is the best gift that you ever gave?

A: I always find the best gifts to be experience gifts. Experiences create memories, and they never end up in a landfill.

Q: When you take the Gifts.com personality quiz…which personality are you?

A: Super Mom 

Q: What is your favorite thing about giving gifts?

A: It’s so much fun to give a gift and see your loved one’s reaction. Especially when you’ve given a thoughtful gift.

Q: What is the best gift that you ever got?

A: One of my aunts has most of my grandmother’s old things, and occasionally she surprises me with something I haven’t seen in decades. It’s always an inspiring and special reminder of one of the most spectacular women I’ve ever known.

Q: What is a dream gift that you would love to get?

A: A Subaru Outback is the top of my dream gift list!

Q: What do you like to do when you’re off the clock?

A: Bikram yoga, baseball games (from major league to little league), finding creative ways to wrap gifts with items we already have on hand.

Q: How long have you been a blogger/brand?

A: I’ve been blogging almost three years.

Q: Why do you love what you do?

A: I love helping people, especially moms, choose thoughtful, green gifts for the people they care about. And because I work from home, I love the opportunity to be there for my boys when they need me.
