Guru Resolution: Get in Shape

Happy 2013!! It’s a New Year, time to start over and put forth new goals to accomplish. While making resolutions can sometimes feel pointless, it’s important to set reasonable and attainable goals. While I’m not perfect, I try to set resolutions every year that I know are not out of reach.  My resolution this year is super cliché and that is to get back in shape. I moved into Manhattan back in June and since then I have had trouble getting into a normal workout routine. I had every excuse in the book including the fact that my summer was hectic (one word…weddings) and the holiday season at Gifts.com is crazy. This year I’m determined to stick to my goal because I have the resources to be successful at my fingertips. My boyfriend has a gym in his building and there is a running path literally a block away from my apartment. I’m also excited to try out a new work out called the bar method. I tried this last year with my sister and I loved it! Unfortunately, I had a lame excuse about why I couldn’t join back then…I wanted to enjoy my summer. I’m more determined than ever to get in shape because I have an upcoming vacation this spring. The thought of putting on a bathing suit has me ready to feel good again. So, whatever your New Year’s resolution is this year keep it meaningful, attainable and fun to achieve.

Good Luck & Happy New Year!
