Dyson Keeps it Cool

I was lucky enough to test out an “Air-Multiplier” from the folks at Dyson.  Right off the bat, the design makes you say “wow!”  It really looks like more of an art piece than a home appliance – it draws people right too it.  As a fan, it works really well – it can be tilted up or down to aim the air perfectly and it looks really cool when you turn on the rotating mode.

Other than the design, there are two major differences I found with it vs a standard fan.  The first is, because there aren’t any vent-holes needed to protect you from the blades, there is no gross dust acclimation that occurs with typical fans.  The second difference is that if you have loose papers nearby, they don’t run wild in wake of the air flow.  It’s also fun to stick your arm through it to demonstrate the bladeless factor.

This is a great extravagant gift the Professional who loves the modern look.
