I headed out to the Holiday Gift Guide Show here in New York City at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square to scout out hot gift ideas for the summer and the holidays. I ran into my friend Sheryl from Table Topics and she showed me what was new. I love Table Topics because I am big on communication and these are basically boxes of cards with conversation starters on them. The family that talks together, stays together! I’m also a little bit of a trivia geek so when I saw this new box of conversation starters, I knew I had to write about them.

Price: $25.00

THE SCOOP:
Who is it a gift for?
This gift is perfect for the families that you visit throughout the summer whether it’s your best friend, your sister. It’s even a great gift to buy for your own family just before hitting the asphalt for a road trip or heading to a new home base for some R&R.

What makes it a good gift for them?
The easy travel packaging makes this a simple addition to their travel plans. The bright color means cards won’t get lost as easily too. But, the real star power of this gift comes in its contents. 135 questions that will get everyone on the trip talking are written on individual cards. But, each card also has fun graphics with interesting related trivia on the back.

You should know that the questions and information is geared toward families with children 10 years old and up. But, I’m sure there are some youngsters out there who would have no problem getting in on the action. I’ll even bet that the younger kids will come up with the best answer to “if you had to change your name, what would you chose?”
