Gift Fair Favorites: The Brelli Umbrella

The New York International Gift Fair is the bi-annual industry gathering for the gift industry. The tradeshow is THE place where 35,000 attendees from all over the globe come to see both the latest trends if gifting as well as to get a look at what the “must-have” gifts will be in the coming months.

While there’s literally over a half million square feet devoted to all types of gifts. The Gift Gurus hit the NYIGF floor in search of fun, unique and ultimately very “gift-able” products from the countless gifts on hand. Here’s one I love:

The Gift: The Brelli Umbrella

The Scoop: I almost “blew” right past this at the NYIGF this year. But, I’m so glad I turned around and took a look at this stylish upgrade to the common umbrella. The BRELLI is the perfect gift for springtime with its gusty showers and bright sunny days. It’s not just for rain showers. It provides 99% protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays and is 40MPH wind resistant!

I watched the video of them testing this in a wind tunnel…it’s pretty amazing to see it hold up to 40mph winds. It’s going to be released in all sorts of fun prints and colors soon too! I also love that The BRELLI is made from 100% biodegradable plastic, and sustainable, renewable bamboo and cotton so that even if it does head for the landfill, like all umbrellas eventually do, it won’t make as big of an impact on the environment.
