The Gift: The Snug Headphones by Philips/O’Neill (available now for around $60)

The Scoop: A good pair of headphones is a tech must-have. For the most part, I look for three things when it comes to headphones: sound quality, value and style. I have spent some time* with The Snug Headphones by Philips (collaborating with O’Neill) and have found these are basically everything I look for in headphones.

The sound quality is great. True to the name, the snug fit does a great job at blocking outside noise with a nice tight fit. While maybe not “noise-cancelling”, the Snug dramatically reduces outside noise leaving you to experience your music, movies, etc. they way they were meant to be heard.

As for value, at around $60 your can easily spend double for equal quality. The tangle-free cord and the flat-folding design, make the Snug an excellent travel partner- nice value add in my book. And lastly, if you have great sound and a good price, why not look for a little style? Philips has collaborated with the iconic surf brand O’Neill to add a little street cred swagger to the headphones…always a plus.
