The Gift: The Steady Tool by Gerber (available now for around $65)

The Scoop: The Steady Tool from Gerber was a highlight from last year’s Outdoor Retailer summer trade show. Having an even dozen useful tools, including a fine edge blade, a serrated blade, three screwdrivers, pliers, and bottle opener the Steady is more than capable getting you out of any jam you might find yourself in.  But the tool that is most eye-catching and sets the Steady apart is the very cool tripod and mount feature that’s made for small cameras and smart phones.  So no more of those awkward, hard-to-get self shots and videos.

The Steady is a great companion for weekend hikes and will come in real handy around the house for odd jobs and quick fixes. But the addition of the tripod functionality is the bonus feature you may love most.  Getting those great shots and videos of your adventures is priceless.
