We have gotten some truly stellar folks to join us in our search for the best gifts of 2011 and each week, we’ll be featuring one of them right here on the Gift Rap Blog.

Meet 2011 Giftee Awards Guest Judge Brie Dyas Editor at the Huffington Post’s Stylelist Home. Stylelist Home just launched on September 20th, 2011. “I feel like the decor blogosphere has focused a bit too much on the super-inspirational (and high-end) or overestimates the amount of time everybody has to tend to their homes.

So we’d like to find a middle ground with Stylelist Home, by presenting gorgeous ideas that are completely achievable along with profiles/projects that have a great story behind them.” We can’t wait to see all of the ideas that we can actually put into action in our own homes and apartments. Finally a design blog that gets that we all have full time jobs too!

When I asked Brie why she was excited to be a Giftee Awards judge, she said, “I love seeing new products and getting to see what’s popular…it’s like seeing trends being “born.” And after 7 years of working with such great blogs as Design Sponge, Ready Made, DIY Life and Shelterpop, Brie has the know-how to spot a fabulous trend and help spread it.

One question we ask all of our guest gurus and employees alike is: What is the best gift you ever got? Bries answer?

“The greatest gift I ever got was a sapphire ring from my boyfriend Chris. It’s vintage-style with three stones and magically goes with anything. And everytime I look at my hand, I think of him.”

We are psyched to have such a design maven on our panel to help select the finalists in the 2011 Giftee Awards. And, we are just as happy to be partnering with the newly minted Styelist Home. In fact, we like Stylelist Home so much that we’re contributing a gift piece every 3 weeks for them! Check out my posts and follow me there!
