Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (a.k.a. “OR”), in Salt Lake City, is the world’s largest outdoor sports industry gathering! With over 25,000 exhibitors and attendees, OR is THE place to find the hot products, the browse latest trends and see great “coming soon” gear from over 1000 outdoor lifestyle brands.

With what seems like acres of cool outdoor products, the trick for a Gift Guru is to find the fun, unique, helpful and ultimately “gift-able” products from the thousands on hand.

Here’s a great one that caught my eye at this year’s show:

The Gift: Liberty Bottleworks water bottles (available now $16-$20)

The Scoop: Liberty Bottle Works isn’t a great story.  It’s many great, on-going stories.  Where shall we start?

Liberty Bottleworks is both green and Red, White and Blue. The water bottles LB makes are “green” as they’re the industry’s only completely BPA-free metal water bottle made from 100% recycled aluminum.  The company is Red, White and Blue as they make all their bottles stateside Yakima, WA.  At Liberty Bottleworks, there are no short cuts as everything from the machinery, to the raw materials, to the technology to the workforce, and all the facets of the bottle making process, are made in America by American workers.

Liberty Bottleworks bottles are gorgeous.  The company commissions artists nation-wide to create one-of-a-kind artwork for Liberty Bottleworks bottles.  The art is then placed on the bottles with cutting edge, high-res digital printers.  The result is a stunning, eye-catching water bottle.

Liberty Bottleworks believes in stewardship and giving back.  Recently, LB gave back to U.S. military families via a “Thank a Soldier” campaign which donated $8 (from a $16 bottle mind you) from every water bottle sold to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.  And just this week, Liberty Bottleworks wrapped up a “Back to School” bottle design contest where kids submitted water bottle designs.  The winning design is going being made into a bottle and sold to benefit the art department of the winner’s school.

So what’s new at Liberty Bottleworks?  A great product just in time for Back to School is the new Kids Bottle.  In both a 12 and 16 ounce size, the fun and amazing looking Kids Bottles come standard with the new Sport Cap which allows for easy operation in smaller hands.

A Great Gift For: Those who detest single-use beverage containers. And perfect for those who love Made In The U.S.A.
