Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (a.k.a. “OR”), in Salt Lake City, is the world’s largest outdoor sports industry gathering! With over 25,000 exhibitors and attendees, OR is THE place to find the hot products, the browse latest trends and see great “coming soon” gear from over 1000 outdoor lifestyle brands.

With what seems like acres of cool outdoor products, the trick for a Gift Guru is to find the fun, unique, helpful and ultimately “gift-able” products from the thousands on hand.

Here’s a great one that caught my eye at this year’s show:

The Gift: The 100th Anniversary Vacuum Bottle from Stanley (November ’12 for around $38)

The Scoop: William Stanley, invented the iconic all steel vacuum bottle in 1913.  To honor his timeless piece, Stanley is producing a limited edition in all its throwback glory.  While some things change, the stainless steel Stanley bottle remains is nearly indestructible and contains the classic insulated lid that doubles as an 8 ounce cup.   The vacuum insulation keeps hot beverages hot or cold beverages cold for 24 hours – a.k.a. perfect year round lunch partner.

Just one word of warming though; this gift may just outlast the recipient!
