The Gift: EA Sports Madden NFL 12 (multi-consoles available 8/30 for around $60)

The Scoop: Each year, one of the biggest days on the video gaming calendar is the day the new Madden hits store shelves. This year that day is August 30th. EA Sports annually outdoes itself with improvements to their amazing franchise and Madden NFL 12 keeps that streak alive. The feature fans may love most is the ability to modifying or fully create plays from 75 different playbooks. And enhancements of defense in Madden 12 will also excite fans. Bottom line: gamers will be in pig skin heaven as they have unprecedented control over game play in Madden 12.

Still not excited yet? How about an invite to a kickoff party. EA SPORTS, NFL and NBC present the third annual EA SPORTS Madden NFL 12 Pigskin Pro-Am on Sunday, August 28 at 7:00 pm ET on NBC. NFL legends with help from the celebrity set, will line up for an action-packed flag football game in NYC’s Bryant Park. Hall of Famers such as Deion Sanders, Dan Marino, Jerry Rice and more will lace ‘em up one more time to help EA kick off the “real” NFL season.
