The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world’s largest consumer technology trade show. Nearly 150,000 attendees are on hand to check out over 2500 exhibitors showcasing their latest products on more than 1.6 millionion feet of exhibit space. This trade show is massive!

Since consumer electronics are the hottest and (still) fastest growing gift segment, CES gives me a chance to get an early look at some great gadgets. CES also is a great place to spot the bigger picture trends in the electronics arena.

The sheer amount of products at CES is staggering, but I have turned Las Vegas upside down and found some cool ones that should make great gifts. Here are some of my favorites from CES 2012.

The Product: 3D Glasses from EX3D (available now from $22 to $75)

The Scoop: With 3D content really coming into its own on the big screen and at home, you’d think someone would come up with a pair 3D glasses that were a little more fashionably palatable.

Wait. EX3D just did.

My first exposure to EX3D glasses were at a BCS Championship game party held by EPSN3D and EX3D. Watching the big game on a 42 FOOT screen in 3D was a CES highlight. A huge bonus was getting to keep a really nice pair of EX3D “Oscar” style glasses for future 3D viewing use! With tons of great styles for men, women and children, we’re quickly running out of excuses for looking so silly.

A Great Gift For: for 3D entertainment hogs who don’t wanna look like a 3Dork.
