The New York International Gift Fair is the bi-annual industry gathering for the gift industry. The tradeshow is THE place where 35,000 attendees from all over the globe come to see both the latest trends if gifting as well as to get a look at what the “must-have” gifts will be in the coming months.

While there’s literally over a half million square feet devoted to all types of gifts. The Gift Gurus hit the NYIGF floor in search of fun, unique and ultimately very “gift-able” products from the countless gifts on hand. Here’s one I love:

The Gift: Dogeared Jewelry (available now and new styles for 2012)

The Scoop: Known for their delicate charms and message jewelry, Dogeared just celebrated the 20th anniversary of their line. I’m a longtime fan of their pieces, especially since all of them are handcrafted in the USA.

They’re a great go-to gift due to their huge variety of charm necklaces for every occasion; whether it’s for new moms, best friends, graduates, you name it. They also do a great job of raising funds for charities with their special edition jewelry, so I was excited to see what they had in store for 2012.

Expanding on their charm necklaces collection, they’ve added State pendents to show off your hometown pride. They launched their “Love Collection” just in time for Valentine’s Day. They also expanded their best-selling “Karma Collection” and added tons of cute stud earrings and more statement sized pendants like the arrowhead and studded ball as seen above. I’d have 10 blog posts if I tried to list all the new trinkets they have for this year!

And because we LOVE customization at Gifts.com, I’m especially excited for their “Create Your Own” option that let’s you combine and play around with all their charms to create something that’s entirely unique for you. And best of all, most of their jewelry is around $50- $60, so you get a cute, thoughtful gift without breaking the bank.

A Great Gift For: Moms, Girlfriends, Sisters, Friends, or anyone that appreciates beautiful design.
