Gift Fair Favorites: Janod Toys
The New York International Gift Fair is the bi-annual industry gathering for the gift industry. The tradeshow is THE place where 35,000 attendees from all over the globe come to see both the latest trends if gifting as well as to get a look at what the “must-have” gifts will be in the coming months.
While there’s literally over a half million square feet devoted to all types of gifts. The Gift Gurus hit the NYIGF floor in search of fun, unique and ultimately very “gift-able” products from the countless gifts on hand. Here’s one I love:
The Gift: Janod Toys
The Scoop: Janod Toys is a French toy company known for their beautiful wooden toys for children. Some of my favorite toys from this line include a wooden pull toy called Crazy Rocky. Rocky is beautifully crafted of wood and as you pull he wiggles his body and wags his tail with excitement.
I also love their funny magnet puzzles. From robots to dolls, to jungle animals, there is a puzzle for everyone . These puzzles encourage your child’s imagination to mix and match pieces to create their own masterpiece.
Playtime has never been more “chic française” with Janod chic and mademoiselle collection kitchen and accessory set. The collection features a lot of great pretend play themes like a Birthday Party Set and a cute cook top for playtime.
The mademoiselle collection also features a picnic hamper set, lunch set and a maxi cooker set that every mademoiselle on the block will be envious of. And I especially love the Vespa-inspired balance bike which helps kids ages 3 – 5 to build balance and coordination. Keep your eyes peeled for this line hitting stateside stores this year.
A Great Gift For: Active kids with big imaginations and parents who appreciate quality toys.
