Out of the tens of thousands of new toys at the 2013 American International Toy Fair, the KIXI MIXI convertible kick scooter from Razor was one of my favorites! Here’s why I think kids will love it too.

Toy Name: The Kixi Mixie convertible kick scooter by Razor

The Scoop: Razor has come up with a “why didn’t I think of that?!” Scooter that grows up with your little one. The Kixi Mixi scooter quickly and easily changes from a three to a two wheeled scooter. A child will certainly feel more comfortable starting on a scooter with three wheels. As the child gains better balance and more confidence with improved scooting ability, it’s time to make the switch to two wheels! Sturdy construction, comfy foam handle bars, and large wheels will help the little one hit road. The Kixi Mixi comes in two colors – a blue/green model and pink/blue/purple one as well.

A Great Gift For: The get-up-n-go boys and girls ages 3 and up (up to 45 lbs) who can’t wait to get their wheels. Helmet owners only!

When & How Much? Available this Spring for around $40
You don’t want to miss the scoop from the “110th annual American International Toy Fair® (February 10th – 13th )! It’s the largest toy and youth product marketplace in the Western Hemisphere, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibiting manufacturers, distributors, importers and sales agents from around the globe to showcase their toy and entertainment products from classic toys to interactive entertainment and everything in between.”

Each year, the Gift Gurus walk the over 350,000 square feet at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City in search of the most giftable toys and games. It truly is a labor of love (and comfy shoes!) to get an early look at what’s new and exciting for the kiddos. This industry only event is where the big sellers for the holidays are determined…yes, they are determined in February! And, as always, we’re taking you with us into the belly of the beast to see what’s hot before it hits the shelves.

Stay tuned to see all of our American International Toy Fair finds for the scoop on what our predictions are for this and previous years.
