Best & Worst Dressed: Golden Globes

I have to admit that I’m not a big award show fan. Growing up, I used to watch the Golden Globes or the Oscars with my mom and think, “this is so boring.”  However, I don’t hate everything about award shows. I love the red carpet and watching all the stars arrive.

In fact, my favorite part of award season is predicting who will be the best & worst dressed of the evening. To prep for my evening of red carpet critiquing I put on the most comfortable and unflattering outfit I own (usually sweatpants and a hoodie), prepare a bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine, and get my phone prepared to text my sisters the “ooh!”s & “ick!”s of the evening.

This year I’m clueless on what most of my favorite stars are nominated for, but I’m dying to see what Jessica Chastain, Claire Danes & Anne Hathaway will be wearing. While I may not be an expert at dishing about who I predict will win which award at the Golden Globes this Sunday night, I can tell you my all-time best and worst looks from last year’s show.

How can anyone deny how terrible Madonna’s dress was on her? Sometimes it just comes down to the dress being on the wrong body. Other times it’s because the hair, makeup, and accessories don’t coordinate well. But, when stars get it right on the red carpet, we all are talking about it for days.
